Charging is safe – but not for little hands or curious paws.
Why this matters
| Risk | What could happen |
| Choking hazard | Small parts (caps, rubber covers) can be swallowed |
| Cord tripping | Child or pet may pull the device off a table |
| Bite damage | Pets may chew the cable, exposing wires |
| Electrical shock | If a child puts a metal object into the charging port |
| Overheating (rare) | Device or charger may become warm during charging |
These risks are very low with adult supervision. They increase when unattended.
Simple safety rules
| Rule | Why |
| Charge in a locked or closed room | Keeps kids/pets from wandering in |
| Place device on a high, stable surface | Out of reach of toddlers and dogs |
| Hide or secure the charging cable | Prevents chewing or tripping |
| Never leave charging unattended if kids/pets are nearby | You can respond quickly |
| Unplug when done | Removes all electrical risk |
Do NOT
| Action | Risk |
| ❌ Charge on the floor | Pet can chew cord or device |
| ❌ Leave rubber port cover within reach | Choking hazard |
| ❌ Let child "help" plug in | Electrical shock risk |
| ❌ Charge while pet is loose in same room | Cable chewing |
What if my child or pet touches the charger?
| Situation | Action |
| Child touches warm charger | Normal. No action needed unless very hot. |
| Child puts object into charging port | Unplug immediately. Inspect port. Contact support if damaged. |
| Pet chews charging cable | Unplug. Do not use cable again. Order a replacement. |
| Device falls during charging | Unplug. Inspect for damage before using again. |
If any electrical shock occurs (very rare), seek medical advice for child or pet.
Best charging setup
| Ideal setup | Why it works |
| On a high shelf or desk | Out of reach of toddlers and dogs |
| Cable tucked away | No tripping or chewing |
| Door closed | Prevents unsupervised access |
| Charging done while you're awake and home | You can monitor |
Kitchen counter or bedroom dresser are good spots. Floor or low coffee table are bad spots.
What to teach children (if old enough)
"The exosuit is not a toy. Only grown‑ups touch the charger. If you see it charging, don't go near it."
For younger kids: physical barrier (closed door) is better than words.
